I make my swords following the techniques employed by YouTuber Returacan. They are made with laminated cardstock reinforced with hot glue and jumbo sized popsicle sticks.

Bastard sword wielded by Sabre in the anime Fate Stay Night. Steel rods have been integrated into the handle to achieve a better balance for the sword. Made of 6 layers of hardened paper and 5 layers of popsicle sticks on either side. The edges of the sword have been sealed with both pva glue and superglue.
